Guess what?!

Yeah you won’t anyway but as some of you may know I used to work for a car dealership. And while talking with one of my friends there who knows I’m looking for a car, they told me that they have a nice CTS on the lot. Knowing that this person is not automotively-inclined, I asked if they knew anything about it... They sent me this pic:

Kinja'd!!!

Anyways, I think I’m going to get to drive it today!!! Super-stoked! Don’t even care that it’s an auto! 556 HP!!! Will be the most powerful thing that I’ve gotten a chance to drive! Here’s the link so you can see more info on this hot ride:

No intention to, I don’t want to be responsible for destroying the most expensive vehicle on their used lot. Besides, these V’s hold a special place in my heart and I’d hate to see one put out of commission...especially at my hands!!!

Someone told me it made no sense to cross shop the Charger and the ATS. Glad to see we have similar tastes. I am leaning towards ATS due to manual.

The V is actually one of the most controllable sports cars on the road. I’ve been really impressed with the ones I’ve driven.

I sped this manual one for sale here in the mighty maple syrup republic!

It’s in my town but there’s no way I could afford that unless I marry rich haha. I need the depreciation to come along.

Yeah that seems like a real nice one. The main reason I’m avoiding manuals at the moment is because Mrs. Firewrx can’t drive one and this may be the only 4-door in the household. (She drives an auto Camaro in Synergy Green). She has said she’d be interested in learning how to drive stick and in the same breath said she doesn’t want it to be a DD. Yay for insinuating us having a toy car!!!

That makes sense. My fiancee left about a year ago so now it’s just me and my small cactus plant.

I think I am avoinding this particular car because I can’t afford it haha. I need someone to drive it to like 100K kms in about 4 years. Then when the price beings with a 22.....we can get talking. I want to get a manual one on a test drive though I’ve never been in a cadillac before.

The automatics in this gen of V is actually rather clunky and not really up to the task from what I hear. Still works as intended but not quite tuned the greatest.

As for your 2 choices, I’d personally lean more towards the Charger R/T because I think you get more for the money. It’s much bigger and imo more handsome than the ATS though the Cadillac is in no way ugly. You get more power and a better sound which makes up for lack of a manual option. It’s more comfortable than the ATS is and uConnect is 1000x better than CUE is. Maintenance will also be somewhat cheaper on the Charger because Cadillac being a premium brand, has premium maintenance fees. Overall, I think it’s just a better deal than the ATS is because you can usually find the 2 cars with a similar price tag.

The big thing right now is that the Charger has over 50 k miles and will cost me about 4k more when it’s all said and done. And the ATS is AWD and lower miles. In addition the ATS is still under Factory Warranty and can be fixed at my Chevy dealer that I used to work at.

Don’t get me wrong. I would much rather drive a big ol’ V8 monster like I'm familiar with but I was definitely intrigued at a Turbo AWD luxury car.

I’m a GM guy through and through but I’d have a seriously difficult time choosing the ATS over the Charger. Just something about it that makes me want one so bad.

Well there is no 6 speed around so I shall instead enjoy what I have at my fingertips. Besides its not like I'll be racing the thing.
